The Royal Princess, part of the Royal class operated by Princess Cruises, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, is the third vessel to carry this name within the cruise line. Launched in 2013, it held the prestigious title of being Princess' largest ship ever built at that time and took on the role of the company's flagship. Serving as the pioneer ship for the Royal class, it lends its name to the entire class, which is expected to encompass a total of six ships by the completion of the final vessel's construction in 2021.
